System Size Justification: Net billing in York Electric territory is governed by Schedule NM. The Net Billing Rider does not allow residential projects that exceed 20 kW AC to receive net billing. We arrive at a maximum allowable kW DC value based off of our AC-DC conversion factor. 

York Electric does not enforce an offset restriction and we have also decide not to enforce an offset restricition. This is because excess net billing credits can be applied to the customers fixed monthly charge of $0.89/ day (~$27/ month), which can help increase solar cost savings. We still encourage partners to build systems to meet homeowner's historic usage.

Monthly Net Metering Credit: At the end of each month, usage is netted against exported kWhs sent to the grid on a 1:1 basis. Any net excess credits that still remain will be valued at a lesser rate of $0.0479/ kWh and credited to the customers fixed monthly charge or rolled over to the next month

Annual Credit True Up: No annual true- up. Bills are settled monthly, any net excess credit is applied to the fixed monthly charge or rolled over to the next month
