System Size Justification: Net billing in Santee Cooper territory is governed by Rider DG-17. The Net Billing Rider does not allow residential projects to exceed 100% offset up to a max size of 20 kW AC to receive net billing. We arrive at a maximum allowable kW DC value based off of our AC-DC conversion factor. 

Note: All solar customers in Santee Cooper territory must pay a monthly Standby Fee of $4.40/ kW/ month.

Monthly Net Metering Credit: At the end of each month, usage is netted against kWhs sent to the grid. If the home exports more than it consumed that month, the net excess generation will be credited at $0.0416/kWh in summer and $0.0384/kWh non-summer

Annual Credit True Up: No annual true- up. Bills are settled monthly, any net excess credit would roll over to the next month
