Monthly Net Metering Credit: Excess NEM credits can be carried over from month to month as a 1:1 kWh credit. However, customers are required to switch to a Residential Demand Pricing Plan. The demand rate has the same $11/month Customer Charge, a $5.27 per kW on-peak demand charge, and a lower energy rate than the standard price plan at ~6.7 cents/kWh. The Energy Rate nets 1-to-1 kWh credits. The demand is measured as the highest usage for 30 minutes in on-peak hours during the month. 2-5 kW peak demand usage * $5.27 per kW should be expected, and is not reduced with net metering. Annual Credit True Up: Excess NEM credits may accumulate and be carried forward for a moving 12 month period. The moving 12 month period is defined as ending in the current billing cycle and starting same month last year plus one month. In no event shall the Customer be paid for excess energy delivered to the Lakeland Electric system at the end of the 12 month moving period.
